Alert GSM Users : Evil Doers can Hack your calls and SMS

A rocking news for All that GSM encryption algorithim is now been broken.

It means thatnow evil doers can listen our calls and also can read our SMS.

We knew that law enforcement agencies have already this capability.
Lets see what a GSM algorithim is

The encryption algorithm used in the GSM network is called A5/1 and was developed in the distant year of 1987.Its new update is  called A5/3, which is much more  secure, but it is not used by most of GSM companies.

  • It really has nothing to do with GSM and CDMA. It all depends what plan you sign up for when you buy your cell phone. Some plans will charge for messaging services, while others won't.
  • If you can't find one there, consider giving their Public Relations department, whose number can be found on the Web site, a call during normal business hours. They track such data, or at least used to when I was a reporter and covered that industry.
  • The cellphone report which cell id it's receiving and with which strength, using the relative strength of each Cellphone tower and the cellphone tower position, a pretty accurate idea.

  • No, its called cracking and doesnt come close to hacking. Dont confuse a hacker with a cracker. They are leagues apart. I dont know where you got your definition of hacking either because it isnt even close to being right.
  • It depends on the device being located, and the technology being used; working strictly from the GSM network (not using any possible GPS or A-GPS applications), it is almost impossible; the only information that can be gathered would be the Cell ID (more or less the identifier for the Cell Site/Transmitter being used by the device at that moment).

  • Hi, hacking is a trick to gain access to another persons informationso yes you are right if a person tried to gain access ur email but is unsucessfull that means he is an unsucessfull hacker or a new being who tries to be a hacker. Generally hacker hacks informations or mails and misuse them thats why they called hacker.

  • Of course. And if their bluetooth is on, it would be much much easier. You can even track people through bluetooth unfortunately, the range of your radar is problematic.

  • Those people that do good get punishment in return, BUT the evil doers get rewards continuously. What is the reason? In order words, the good actions are rewarded with reversals while the destructive and damaging actions are rewarded with fame, fortune, etc.
  • hmmm i think its because of the intrest of people towards hacking.Some groups of people are so curious about this stuff that they waste their time on hacking and evil sites.

    meanwhile when they hear that some one is able to hear private calls they appreciate the hacker
