Solve Symbian Certificate Error during Apps Install

Many people are annoyed by the Error messages which are displayed during the installation of third party softwares in Symbian  Latest Mobiles like N-Series and E-Series. Some times it becomes really headache when you are unable to install interesting softwares in your symbian smartphone.

These error messages are of many types i.e. Certificate error, untrusted Software, Acess denied. etc

One way to get rid of this is to Hack your symbian Cell but it is risky and some times it doesn’t work on latest firmwares. Therefore i am explaining you a good way.

Actually you have to sign the application before installation.

Login there using your User name and password. Enter the phone’s IMEI # there. After 4 to 5 Hours you can download your certificate and key from there.

Place the certificate and key file in same folder.

Step 2:

Step 3:

When you will open this Software its language is unable to understand then go to Last TAb and select English.

After that Browse your cert and also the Software you want to install and press the sign button. A success message will be displayed and a new copy of software will be created in same folder.

Now install that software in your moile. This copy will install 100% successfully.

Now Whenever you need to install any software just Sign that using SignTools. Browse for the certificate and Application and Press sign Button and Then Enjoy.

  • I get a certificate error whenever i install apps to my memory card. This happens while my Software installation is set to all and online certificate check is off. What baffles me is when I install.
  • Now, go to PC Suite and open Nokia Application Installer. From there, you can search for your installer on the left box and choose your phone on the right box.

  • I don't know how to fix your problem fully except to sync it. I have a bit of trouble though finding which apps are usable for the ipod so maybe you might be trying to put some on that aren't compatible.
  • This tutorial was totally about symbian OS...it has no link with IPOD

    If you mean by developer certificate then it is authenticated
